JANAL CREATIONS

by WREN THEATRE

Honoring the legacy of Greta May Craven

“Our costumes are more then just garments-they’re a tribute to a rich family legacy. Our lead costume designer, Tatum Lee, is the granddaughter of designer Greta May Craven, who founded Janal Creations in the mid 1970’s. Each piece she creates for our productions is infused with that nostalgic flair, blending family history with contemporary artistry”

At Wren Theatre...

we believe that costume design is a true collaboration between the actors and the creative team. We work closely with our performers from the ground up, considering their interpretations of their characters to create costumes that truly enhance performances. This means that our garments are not just costumes; they’re an extension of the character, crafted with the actor’s input and vision. It’s a dynamic and creative process that results in wardrobes that are as unique as the characters themselves.

“we prioritize reimagining and recycling costumes from previous productions when ever possible, and only turn to new fabric when absolutely necessary. This approach not only reduces wast but also gives each costume a unique history and character.”
