Jessica Myrie

Jessica Myrie is an award-winning Canadian actress, host, and producer whose passion for storytelling shines through every role she takes on. Born and raised in Toronto to Jamaican parents, Jessica’s love for performing began in childhood, where she first took the stage in school plays and talent shows where she discovered the power of connection through art. That childhood spark grew into a thriving career in film and television.

Her breakout performance in the short film She Waits earned her first Best Actress award at the International Black and Diversity Film Festival. She went on to receive further acclaim for her powerful lead performance in Irreconcilable Differences which earned her Best Actress wins at the Toronto Nollywood International Film Festival and the inaugural Canadian Black Screen Awards.

Jessica has appeared in a range of television and film projects, including a co-starring role in the Peacock Original series Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol and a memorable portrayal of Mel B (Scary Spice) in Vice TV’s The Dark Side of the 90s. She also appeared in the Canadian Screen Award-winning CBC mini-series I Hate People, People Hate Me, further cementing her presence in bold and boundary-pushing storytelling.

Jessica has appeared in over 50 commercials spaning in both national and international campaigns. She works as a host of Black Business Live, where she spotlights inspiring entrepreneurs and community leaders. Jessica is also the co-founder of Black Actors Canada, a nonprofit organization committed to supporting and advocating for Black talent in the Canadian entertainment industry.

With her strong creative vision and grounded sense of purpose, Jessica Myrie continues to break barriers on screen, behind the scenes and now on the stage.
